S. Korean paddlers collect golds in Vietnam

South Korea won most gold medals in the 29th Golden Racket International Table Tennis Championship here from July 23-26, Vietnam News Agency reported Monday.

South Korean Team A and B finished one-two in the men's team event.

South Korea beat Japan 3-1 to pocket the women's team gold.

Kim Gang Woog beat China's Peng Bo 4-1 to take the men's singles title.

Zeng Jian from Singapore, who is standing 62nd in the International Table Tennis Federation ranking, powered past Li Tian from China 4-0 to win the women's singles.

The host Vietnam took only one bronze medal from the men's team event. Its player Tran Tuan Quynh had to stop at the quarterfinal after losing to champion Kim Gang Woog.

The tournament attracted 85 players from Asian countries and regions. Endi
