Rains, flash flood kill 51 people in Pakistan

At least 51 people have been killed, 21 others injured and 258,930 affected by rain-triggered accidents and flash floods over the last 12 days in Pakistan, local media quoted the national Disaster Management Authority ( NDMA) as reporting on Monday.

Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan are the worst hit areas.

The flash floods have also damaged 1,648 houses, inundated 451 villages and destroyed standing crops on 233,688 acres of land.

Rescue and relief activities by the NDMA, provincial governments and army are continuing in the affected areas. Endi
