Three people were killed after a small plane crashed into a residential area in Tokyo's suburb area of Chofu city Sunday morning, reported Japan's broadcaster NHK.
The three killed, including two aboard the crashed aircraft and a female in a hit house, were among the four who failed to escape from the accident site where three buildings and two cars caught fire. The other one was rescued by firefighters. (Japan-Plane Crash)

FAIZABAD, Afghanistan -- A total of 125 security personnel gave up fighting and joined Taliban militants after three days of fighting in Tirgaran volley of Wardoj district,Badakhshan province with Faizabad as its capital, district governor Dawlat Mohammad Khawar said Sunday. "After three days of fierce fighting between the government forces and Taliban rebels for the control of Tirgaran volley, 125 police personnel gave up fighting and joined the Taliban Saturday night," Khawar told Xinhua. BANGKOK -- A total of 17 Chinese tourists were injured after their tour bus overturned in south Thailand's Phuket province on Sunday, China's consular office in Phuket said.
The accident occurred at around 12 p.m. local time on the Bypass Road in the city of Phuket and one tourist was seriously injured, the consular office said. (Thailand-China-Bus Accident)
