China stocks close lower Friday

Chinese shares ended lower on Friday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index falling 1.29 percent to close at 4,070.91 points.

The smaller Shenzhen Component Index dropped 1.72 percent to close at 13,518.51 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, slumped 2.36 percent to end at 2,897.82 points. Endit
