A former official in central China's Henan Province is under probe for suspected discipline violation, the local anti-graft body said Wednesday.

Yang Shuping, former secretary of the city committee of the Communist Party of China in Sanmenxia, is being investigated by the provincial commission for discipline inspection, the commission said in a press release.

It said Yang was suspected of "having seriously violated Party discipline", but gave no details.
