Xi congratulates Bouterse on re-election as Suriname's president

Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday congratulated Desi Bouterse on his re-election as Surinamese president.

In a congratulatory message, Xi recalled that he has met with Bouterse three times in the past two years and they have reached important consensus on strengthening China-Suriname win-win cooperation.

The Chinese leader said he attaches great importance to the development of China-Suriname relations and stands ready to join hands with Bouterse to further deepen the traditional bilateral friendship for the benefit of both nations. Endi
