Orlando City in Brazil international Ganso's bid: reports

Xinhua, July 22, 2015 Adjust font size:

Orlando City have made a six-million-dollar bid to sign Sao Paulo's former Brazil international midfielder Paulo Henrique Ganso, local press reported on Tuesday.

Under terms of the offer, the Brazilian outfit would receive 1.6 million US dollars in cash and settle a 4.4-million-dollar debt allegedly owed to the US Major Soccer club, according to the Uol news portal.

Orlando City claim the outstanding sum relates to Sao Paulo's failure to meet contractual obligations for their 2014 loan of veteran playmaker Kaka.

According to Uol, Ganso is enthused by the prospect of reuniting with Kaka in the US.

Ganso has made 160 appearances for Sao Paulo since his 2012 move from Santos.

The 25-year-old was once considered among Brazil's most promising footballers and played a leading role in Santos' 2011 Copa Libertadores triumph alongside Neymar and Danilo, now at Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.

But injuries and poor form have limited him to just eight appearances for Brazil's national team. Endi
