Haiti is ready to play Jamaica in CONCACAF (Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Football Association) Gold Cup, next Saturday July 18 in Baltimore, United States.
According to Gold Cup 2015 website, the match between Haiti and Jamaica is expected to be very exciting, as both teams are among the best Caribbean ones.
Haiti's midfielder Pascal Millien thinks this match will be more like a final game to win the championship.
"Every time we play against Jamaica or Trinidad and Tobago, is like we were playing a final game because we want to be the best," said Millien, 29, adding that "one of us has to reach final and we want to make sure we will be the ones."
Les Grenadiers, as the Haitian team is also known, will have the opportunity to avenge the 2-0 defeat against Jamaica, the Reggae Boyz, held last November in Caribbean Cup, a biennial regional championship and qualifying tournament to Gold Cup.
Millien respects his rivals in the fight to get a ticket to semifinals, to be played in Atlanta next Wednesday.
"We know they are not an easy squad," he said. "We know they have many players who perform in Europe, in England especially. This will be a battle and it will not be easy for them."
Haiti began with a good attitude and ended second in Group A behind the United States and followed by the Central American powers of Panama and Honduras.
"We have a team with character. We have a team that plays with passion," said Millien adding that "our mentality is to play for the flag that represents 10 million people whose happiness depends on us. We have to give it all and we will never give up." Endi
