Xinhua, July 18, 2015 Adjust font size:

Four people have been trapped and another four people have been taken to hospital after three explosions took place Friday in a village in northwest England's Cheshire, local police said.

The incident involved the collapse of a four-storey building with a fully developed fire in several areas in a Wood Mill in Bosley village, Cheshire Fire and Rescue Service said.

Cheshire Police said three explosions have taken place, with a total of 35 people directly affected by the incident.

Four people have been taken to hospital and another four remained "unaccounted for," police said.

Cheshire Police have declared a "major incident" following the blasts while rescuers did not rule out further explosions. Endit
