Singapore stocks close 0.29 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Monday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 9.79 points, or 0.29 percent, to close at 3,332.94.

A total of 1.17 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 833.1 million Singapore dollars (617.3 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 315 to 114, while 536 others finished unchanged.
