Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras reiterated on Friday his Leftist government's view that a No vote in Sunday's referendum on the debt deal proposal tabled by creditors does not mean a rift with Europe.

SRINAGAR, Indian-controlled Kashmir -- Indian military Friday killed three infiltrators during a gunfight near the Line of Control (LoC), police said.
The gunfight, according to police, broke out inside the forest area of Boniyar in frontier Uri sector of Baramulla district, about 100 km northwest of Srinagar city, the summer capital of Indian-controlled Kashmir. (India-Kashmir-Infiltrators)

KIEV -- Visiting European Parliament President Martin Schultz here on Friday called for a political resolution to the ongoing conflict in eastern Ukraine through dialogue and diplomatic consultations.

BRUSSELS -- European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker said Friday in Luxembourg that the Greek government's position will be "dramatically" weakened in negotiations with creditors if the Greek vote "no" in Sunday's referendum.
Juncker made the remarks at a press conference marking the beginning of Luxembourg's six-month presidency of the Council of the European Union.
"If Greeks vote 'no', the Greek position will be dramatically weakened," he said in a short response to a journalist's question.

PARIS -- France on Friday rejected the asylum request, or more exactly of "protection", of the founder of WikiLeaks, Julian Assange, who had sought on Thursday in a letter to French President Francois Hollande, according to the statement of the Elysee.
