Agent confirms Podolski's signing up with Turkish Galatasaray

Xinhua, July 3, 2015 Adjust font size:

With Lukas Podolski leaving Arsenal after not being able to get game time under manager Arsene Wenger, his agent has confirmed the Arsenal forward will sign up with Galatasaray this summer, Turkish BGN News reported Friday.

The 30-year-old Germany wing failed to start a single Premier League game for the Gunners last season, making just seven appearances off the bench before struggling on loan for the second half of the season with Inter Milan in Serie A.

Podolski has attracted interest from Galatasaray, with German paper Bild claiming the Turkish club is willing to pay around 4 million euros

"We had good talks with Wenger. He wanted to keep Lukas at Arsenal but could not guarantee him a starting position. That's why we agreed to make a transfer," his agent Nassim Touihri said.

Podolski scored one goal in his 18 games across all competitions for Inter after joining them in early January. Endi
