Marseille signs Rekik and Ocampos

Xinhua, July 2, 2015 Adjust font size:

Ligue 1 club Marseille announced Thursday they have finished the signings of Dutch international defender Karim Rekik and Argentinian winger Lucas Ocampos.

Rekik spent last season back home in the Netherlands on loan at Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven before moving to the south of France from Manchester City. The 20-year-old defender joined City four years ago but has hardly played for the four-time England's top-flight champions.

Ocampos, also 20, joins from Monaco after already playing with Marseille for the second half of the last season on loan.

The 20-year-old duo are the latest summer signings for Marseille, following Nantes winger Georges-Kevin Nkoudou, and former Sochaux goalkeeper Yohann Pele.

Meanwhile, Marseille fans have their worries because the club sold several players like Midfielder Giannelli Imbula, Jeremy Morel, Andre-Pierre Gignac and Ghana star Andre Ayew. Endi
