New charter flight expected from Beijing to Birmingham

Xinhua, July 2, 2015 Adjust font size:

Additional charter plane services between Beijing and Birmingham will be launched Friday to meet growing numbers of Chinese tourists heading to the old British manufacturing center, now a sightseeing hot spot.

With two flights a week on Monday and Friday, the charter is expected to take over 4,000 Chinese visitors to Birmingham before August 28, according to the service providers, Caissa, a Chinese travel agency, and Birmingham airport.

The first charter flight was launched in last summer and became popular. The travel agency expects more visitors from China in the future thanks to easier visa procedure and Chinese language services.

The year of 2015 marked the first Year of Bilateral Cultural Exchange between China and Britain. Endi
