Murray crushes Haase to reach Wimbledon third round

Xinhua, July 2, 2015 Adjust font size:

Former champion Andy Murray crushed Robin Haase 6-1, 6-1, 6-4 to reach the third round of the Wimbledon Championships here on Thursday.

The 2013 champion, who had a 3-1 winning record over the Dutchman, dominated the match with power and finesse on Centre Court.

He will next take on 25th seed Andreas Seppi of Italy or Croatian teenager Borna Coric in the third round on Saturday.

"I am very happy with the way I played," the 28-year-old Murray said. "I felt there were things I could do better in the first round but today I did things much better. I felt like I dictated the baseline rallies." Endi
