Ten people killed in southeastern Bangladesh due to landslide, rains

At least ten people were killed after torrential rainfall and landslides struck southeastern Chittagong and tourist resort Cox's Bazar, police in Chittagong and Cox's Bazar town.
Three persons were killed in a landslide triggered by heavy rain in Bangladesh's southeastern Cox's Bazar.
Two women died drowning in flood water caused by heavy rainfall also in Cox's Bazar. The tourist city became isolated from the mainland due to heavy rainfall as the Dhaka Cox's Bazar highway went under water.
A three-and-half-year-old boy and his mother were killed after a coconut tree fell on them in St Martin's Island, said Sub- inspector Harun-Ur Rashid, in-charge of the island's police camp.
Meanwhile, a three-year-old boy died in a mudslide at Gonapara area of Cox's Bazar town this afternoon. His body was kept at Cox' s Bazar Sadar Hospital.
