Cambodian PM to attend Mekong-Japan Summit in Tokyo

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen will lead a high delegation to attend the 7th Mekong-Japan Summit, to be held from July 2 to 6 in Tokyo, Japan, said a press statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday.
The Mekong-Japan Summit will be held between Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and leaders from five Mekong River countries, including Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, Myanmar and Thailand.
According to the statement, Hun Sen will deliver a speech at the summit, which will adopt the "New Tokyo Strategy 2015 for Mekong-Japan Cooperation" in the next three years from 2016 to 2018, the statement said.
"On the sidelines of the summit, Hun Sen will hold a bilateral meeting with Shinzo Abe," it said.
During the summit, Hun Sen, together with other Mekong country leaders, will attend a function at the Imperial Palace and have meetings with Tadamori Oshima, Speaker of the Japanese House of Representatives, and Yamazaki Masaaki, Speaker of the Japanese House of Councilors. Endi
