Yi makes double-double as China beat Lithuania again

Xinhua, June 26, 2015 Adjust font size:

Former NBA player Yi Jianlian scored 21 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to help China beat Lithuania 70-67 on Friday for their second straight victory in the three-game friendly series.

Zhou Qi pocketed 12 points for China, while Ding Yanyuhang and Wang Zhelin had 11 points respectively.

Yi's free throw handed China a double-digit lead midway through the last quarter. After Lithuania cut the deficit to six points with less than one minute left, Yi hit a two-point throw to put the result beyond doubt.

"It's our second win, we have done a good job in defense in the first two quarters, but we still need to improve in the last quarter," said China's head coach Gong Luming.

The third and last game of this series is scheduled for June 28 in central China's Changsha city. Endi
