Chinese FM to attend donors' conference in Nepal

Xinhua, June 23, 2015 Adjust font size:

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi will attend a conference of international donors in Kathmandu of Nepal on June 24 and 25.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Lu Kang made the announcement at a regular press conference on Tuesday.

Nepal will hold the conference to raise funds for rebuilding the country after this year's devastating earthquake.

Lu said the Nepalese government has invited representatives from more than 50 countries and international organizations.

During the meeting, Wang will meet with the leaders of Nepal and some representatives.

Noting that Nepal's reconstruction will be a massive and long-term project, Lu said China will continue to provide assistance for Nepal within its capacity in accordance with Nepal's need.

China will work with the international community to help the Nepalese people to rebuild their homes at an early date, the spokesman said. Endi
