1st LD: Chinese shares close higher Tuesday

Chinese shares closed higher on Tuesday, with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index up 2.19 percent to finish at 4,576.49 points.

The Shenzhen Component Index gained 2.04 percent to close at 16,045.99 points.

The ChiNext Index, tracking China's Nasdaq-style board of growth enterprises, rose 2.38 percent to end at 3,393.94 points. Endi
