LME base metals prices mostly lower on Friday

The base metals prices on the London Metal Exchange (LME) were mostly lower on Friday after the Greek crisis intensified.

Greece has edged closer to an exit from the eurozone after another crucial meeting between creditors ended in stalemate. Eurozone leaders will hold an emergency summit on Monday.

The three-month unofficial copper price dropped 83 U.S. dollars, or 1.44 percent, to 5,666 U.S. dollars per tonne.

The three-month unofficial aluminium price lost 15 U.S. dollars, or 0.88 percent, to 1,694 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial lead price lost 14 U.S. dollars, or 0.77 percent, to 1,801 U.S. dollars a tonne.

Meanwhile, the three-month unofficial zinc price lost 28 U.S. dollars, or 1.35 percent, to 2,052 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial nickel price lost 130 U.S. dollars, or 1.02 percent, to 12,640 U.S. dollars a tonne.

The three-month unofficial tin price was up 350 U.S. dollars, or 2.34 percent, to 15,325 U.S. dollars a tonne. Endit
