Vietnam and Denmark signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on energy saving and renewable energy industries in Vietnam's capital Hanoi on Thursday.
The MoU, signed between Vietnamese Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Danish Ministry of Climate, Energy and Building, covers five priority fields and 10 cooperation models.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Cao Quoc Hung said the MoU will help boost cooperation between the two ministries in the field.
The Danish Ambassador to Vietnam John Nielsen suggested taking sustainable approaches to increase the use of renewable and clean energies towards forming a green economy, reported Vietnam's state- run news agency VNA.
Vietnam and Denmark established strategic partnership in 2011 with focuses on climate change, environment, energy and green growth.
The two countries have initiated long-term dialogues on low carbon emission and funded the National Target Program on Energy Conservation and Efficient Use in Vietnam, aiming to reduce energy consumption in Vietnam. Endi
