According to the resolution 46/NQ-CP dated on Thursday, nationals of Britain, France, Germany, Spain and Italy will be offered with visa-free single entry to Vietnam to stay for 15 days.

The visa exemption will be implemented for one year from July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016. After that, the resolution will be extended following Vietnam's law, said the website of Vietnamese government.

Vietnam currently exempts visa for nationals from 17 countries during time periods ranging from 14 days to 30 days. Most of the visa-exempt countries to Vietnam are members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).

Vietnam received some 3. 275 million person-times of foreign tourists in the first five months of 2015, down 12.6 percent year- on-year, according to Vietnam's General Statistics Office (GSO). Endi
