Pinto reveals Honduras team ahead of Gold Cup tournament

Honduras football coach Jorge Luis Pinto unveiled his squad for the Gold Cup tournament on Wednesday which will take place in the United States from July 7.

The announcement was made during a news conference from the city of Comayagua in the center of the Central American country.

Pinto's selected players include Noel Valladares in goals; Wilmer Crisanto, Brayan Beckeles and Maynor Figueroa in defence; Bryan Acosta, Alfredo Mejia and Jorge Claros in midfield and Anthony Lozano and Eddie Hernandez upfront.

Honduras will play a friendly against Mexico in Houston on July 1 as preparation for the tournament.

Honduras' first match of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Association Football's (CONCACAF) Gold Cup will be against the United States in Dallas' Toyota Stadium. Endi
