A new biography of Josip Broz Tito, former leader of Yugoslavia, was published and presented in Zagreb on Tuesday evening.

The biography, named "Tito", was written by two well-known Croatian historians, father and son, Slavko and Ivo Goldstein.

Base on researching numerous documents, most of them were testimonies of participants of key moments of Tito's life, the authors worked for eight years for the book with 912 pages.

They said they tried to put Tito's three main ideas, socialism, Yugoslavia and non-alignment into the book after he died 35 years.

"The book is not for or against Tito, it adds his wins and losses. It is written with passion and historian's instincts," said Ivo Goldstein.

Ivo Goldstein, nowdays Croatian ambassador to France, is a professor of history of University of Zagreb France. He most deals with Croatian history of 20th century and published 20 books.

Slavko Goldstein, Ivo's father, is a former journalist, editor, publisher, historian. Endit
