Germany's benchmark DAX index slumping

The benchmark DAX index at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange on Monday slumped as the Greek debt talks are still in the deadlock.

The blue-chip index lost over 200 points, or nearly 2 percent, to below 11,000 points as of the file of the story. The negotiations on the Greek debt collapsed without an agreement in Brussels on Sunday.

The finance ministers of the euro area countries are set to meet on Thursday.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has been quoted by a Greek newspaper as saying that Greece will wait patiently for a realistic position. Endit
