Norway draw 1-1 with Germany

Xinhua, June 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

Norway earned a 1-1 draw with Germany through a hard fighting at Women's World Cup in Canada on Thursday.

Anja Mittag gave Germany a lead just six minutes after starting. She was at hand to tap in the rebound created by her teammate' s long strike. It was her fourth goal of the tournament following her hat-trick in their opening 10-0 whipping of Cote d'Ivoire.

However, the twice winner of the tournament was denied the lead at the second half. Maren Mjelde scored for the 1995 winner Norway with a superb free-kick at 61st minute.

With Germany and Norway both on top of Group B, everything would be decided in their final matches in the Group stage. Endi
