Nigerian coach Keshi optimistic ahead of qualifier against Chad

Xinhua, June 12, 2015 Adjust font size:

Nigeria's Super Eagles Head Coach Stephen Keshi has said he was confident that his team would win Saturday' s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier in central north city of Kaduna.

The Nigerian handler told reporters on Thursday that he was satisfied with the caliber of players he has in camp and who would feature in the match against Chad.

The Nigeria/Chad match, both sides' opening match in the qualifiers, is scheduled for the Ahmadu Bello Stadium (ABS) in Kaduna State.

"I am already working on them for us to play the match and record success, so that we can proceed to the next stage," he added, noting that he was also motivated to do well by the players.

He urged Nigerians to support the Super Eagles in their bid to qualify for the 2017 AFCON finals.

The coach also urged the players to work hard and maintain their fitness and performance levels so as to win the upcoming matches with good goals. Endi
