Dollar trades in upper 124 yen in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar traded in the upper 124 yen range in early trading Tuesday, almost unchanged from its overnight levels in New York.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 124.58-62 yen compared with 124.45-55 yen in New York and 125.21-23 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Monday.

The euro fetched 1.1279-1283 dollars and 140.52-54 yen against 1.1288-1298 dollars and 140.53-63 yen in New York and 1.1166-1168 dollars and 139.81-5 yen in Tokyo late Monday afternoon. Endi
