Tokyo shares open higher on weaker yen, better GDP data

Tokyo shares opened higher on the yen 's continuous falling and a better revised figure for the country' s economy growth in the first quarter of 2015 on Monday.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 55.39 points, or 0.27 percent, from Friday to 20,516.29.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 3.25 points, or 0.19 percent, to 1,670. 31. Endi
