MS760 AG to co-establish production facility with Fujian company

Hong Kong-based MS760 Aviation Group Limited announced on Monday its exclusive collaboration and manufacturing agreement with Fujian General Aircraft Manufacturing Co. Ltd. to establish a new production facility at Fujian Sanming Airport.

MS760 Aviation Group Limited is a holding company of MS760 assets. Its wholly owned subsidiary, Jet Set International Limited, purchased the MS760 Type Certificate from French aircraft manufacturer Socata, along with an inventory of 32 aircraft, spare parts and engines.

The MS760, also known as the Paris Jet due to its French heritage, is the world's first certified Very Light Jet (VLJ) aircraft. It is a pressurized, four place twin-engine aircraft that was developed and certified by French aircraft manufacturer Morane-Saulnier, now Daher-Socata.

The aircraft has been used extensively as a personal jet in private and corporate missions and as a flight-training platform due to its docile handling characteristics, side-by-side seating arrangements and excellent visibility.

Edward Furtak, chairman of MS760 AG, said that the aircraft has an impeccable safety record, in over sixty-five years of service, and it has only been issued four airworthiness directives.

The company, in consultation with U.S.-based Clifford Air Solutions, has developed a plan to modify and certify the MS760 with highly efficient Williams International jet engines and state- of-the-art avionics as a modification to the existing Type Certificate.

In the meantime, the company has begun construction of a large production facility in Fujian's Sanming, which is expected to start operation by the end of 2015. The company also plans to certify the modification to the existing Type Certificate which is designated MS760x, and begin production of upgraded MS760x aircraft within five years..

David Qiu, CEO of Fujian General Aircraft Manufacturing Co. Ltd. , said that the company's entry into the VLJ market will coincide with the upcoming period of strong recovery in the overall business jet market worldwide and will meet the growing demand for private aircraft in the Chinese marketplace.

The MS760 is uniquely positioned to meet these demands in this time frame. The company's strategic production facility based in Fujian will ensure competitive production costs and benefits that the new Sanming Airport offers, said Qiu.
