Top Chinese legislator to visit Russia, ROK, India

Top Chinese legislator Zhang Dejiang will visit Russia, the Republic of Korea (ROK) and India from June 7 to 16.

Zhang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), will make the visit at the invitation of Chairwoman of Russia's Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, speaker of the Russian State Duma Sergei Naryshkin, speaker of the National Assembly for the Republic of Korea (ROK) Chung Ui-hwa, Indian Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari, who is also chairman of the Rajya Sabha (the upper house of India's parliament) and Sumitra Mahajan, speaker of the Lok Sabha (the lower house of India's parliament).

During his visit to Russia, Zhang will attend a meeting of the cooperation committee of the NPC and the Russian State Duma and a parliamentary forum of the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). Endi
