Circulation market value dips slightly in China stock

Xinhua, May 30, 2015 Adjust font size:

The circulation value in China's stock market slid to 50.47 trillion yuan (8.07 trillion U.S. dollars) after Friday's trading, down 0.37 percent from the last trading day a week earlier, statistics of the stock exchanges showed.

The average stock price also fell to 16.03 yuan, 0.35 percent lower than the last week's average.

Chinese stock indexes rose steadily for the first three trading days this week on the sentiment that the world's best performer may continue its bull run after more than doubling in the last year. Trading volumes surpassed two trillion yuan.

The market, however, dived over 6 percent on Thursday as the market panicked after Central Huijin sold shares of two state-owned banks.

Shanghai Composite Index registered a 0.98 percent loss this week. Endi
