Dollar changes hands at upper 123 yen level in early Tokyo deals

The U.S. dollar changed hands at the upper 123 yen level early Thursday in Tokyo.

At 9 a.m., the dollar was quoted at 123.72-73 yen compared with 123.62-72 yen in New York and 122.98-123.01 yen in Tokyo at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The euro fetched 1.0898-0899 dollars and 134.83-84 yen against 1.0899-0909 dollars and 134.81-91 yen in New York and 1.0918-0919 dollars and 134.28-32 yen in Tokyo late Wednesday afternoon. Endi
