KHARTOUM -- The United Nations on Wednesday expressed deep concern over reports on large-scale displacement, including possible forced relocations in Sudan's Blue Nile State.
"I am very concerned by reports that large-scale displacement, including possible forced relocations, is occurring in Blue Nile State's Bau locality and possibly in other parts of the state," said Geert Cappelaere, United Nations Resident and Acting Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, in a statement Wednesday. LONDON -- A young British Muslim was sentenced to six years' imprisonment by a court on Wednesday for trying to travel to Syria to join Islamic State, local media reported.
Zakariya Ashiq, 20, from Coventry, was found guilty on two counts of preparing acts of terrorism at the Old Bailey, the Central Criminal Court of England and Wales, in London, according to local media on Wednesday. (Britain-IS)

JERUSALEM -- Israeli President Reuven Rivlin on Wednesday called upon the international community to establish a body to oversee rehabilitation in the Gaza Strip.

WASHINGTON -- U.S. space agency NASA said Wednesday it has ordered the first-ever commercial crew flight to the International Space Station from the Boeing Company as part of an ongoing effort to restore America's human spaceflight capabilities by 2017.
