Jordan and Egypt on Thursday reiterated their call for fighting terrorism and terrorist groups, which pose a threat to the stability and security of the region.

During a meeting in the Jordanian capital of Amman, Jordanian King Abdullah II and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi stressed the need to clarify the true image of Islam that rejects violence and extremism, calling for acceptance of tolerance.

Talks also focused on efforts to resume Palestinian-Israeli peace talks based on the two-state solution and the international resolutions.

Meanwhile, the two leaders called for finding political solutions to the situation in Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen.

Sisi will attend the World Economic Forum in Jordan to be held on Friday under the theme of "Creating a Regional Framework for Prosperity and Peace through Public-Private Cooperation." Endit
