Cuba sends four players to World Judo Masters Championships in Morocco

Four Cuban players departed Tuesday to participate in the World Judo Masters Championships in Rabat, Morocco, on May 23-24.

The island's representatives are spearheaded by London Olympic champion Idalis Ortiz (+78kg).

According to Veitia, the World Judo Masters Championships in Morocco brings together the top 15 world ranking judokas in each division.

It is considered by the Cubans as part of the preparation for the most important commitments of 2015, especially the Pan American Games next July in Toronto, Canada.

Another important competition for Cuban judo in 2015 will be the world championship September in Astana, Kazakhstan, said the world famous coach. Endi
