Rockets beat Clippers, reach Western Conference Finals

The Houston Rockets surged past the Los Angeles Clippers 113-100 in their Game 7 Sunday night at Toyota Center and made it to the West Conference Finals for the first time since 1997.

The Rockets dominated the game from the start and never slackened their exertion. With an advantage of as many as 20 points in the final period, the Rockets had every reason to claim the final victory.

James Harden scored 31 points while Dwight Howard had 16 points and 15 rebounds for Houston. Blake Griffin scored 27 points and Chris Paul had 26 points for the Clippers.

The Rockets will face the Warriors Tuesday night at Golden State. Endi
