Nazi holocaust survivor saved by Schindler dies in Australia

An Australian who survived the German Nazi Holocaust as a result of German industrialist Oskar Schindler's actions has died in Sydney.

Schindler was made famous in the film Schindler's List which detailed how he defied Nazi authorities to save Jewish people from death camps.

One of the women he saved, Anna Reich from Sydney, died this month at 94, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation reported on Monday.

After surviving the fascist regime and moving to Australia, she became a prominent figure in the Australian fashion industry.

Schindler is credited with saving the lives of at least 1,200 Jews employed in his factories during World War II.

The industrialist's story was the focal point of director Steven Spielberg's Oscar-winning film Schindler's List in 1993. Endi
