Third Sino-German economic cooperation park established in China

An economic cooperation park for small and medium-sized enterprises in China and Germany was established in south China's Jieyang City over the weekend.

Government officials from the two countries were present at the unveiling ceremony and seminar, which were attended by more than 150 Chinese and German entrepreneurs.

Matthias Machnig, State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy, said the park will provide German companies interested in the Chinese market with a platform for cooperation.

An official at China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said Chinese companies are eager to learn from intelligent manufacturing models from Germany.

The two countries made a joint decision to develop a partnership to integrate industry and technology during Chinese Premier Li Keqiang's visit to Germany last October.

At this year's parliamentary sessions in March, Premier Li elaborated a national plan for China's manufacturing industry, "Made in China 2025," which seeks to scale up its manufacturing sector in the next decade.

The cooperation park is the third in China following two others in Jiangsu Province's Taicang and Lianyungang. Endi
