Timor-Leste to continue developing friendly ties with China: PM

Timor-Leste Prime Minister Rui Maria de Araujo pledged here Friday that his country would continue to develop friendly ties with China.

Araujo made the pledge while meeting with visiting Communist Party of China (CPC) goodwill delegation headed by Chen Fengxiang, vice minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of CPC.

Araujo said that the new government of Timor-Leste will further boost cooperation between the two countries and cooperation among the parties of the two sides.

For his part, Chen Fengxiang said that CPC is willing to promote exchanges with major parties of Timor-Leste so as to consolidate the political foundation for the comprehensive cooperation partnership of good-neighborly friendship, mutual trust and mutual benefit between the two countries.

Chen Fengxiang started his two-day visit to Timor-Leste on Thursday. Endi
