Nepal sends army team to confirm finding of missing U.S. chopper

A search and rescue team of Nepal Army has been sent to Kalinchowk of Dolakha district area for final confirmation about finding of missing U.S. chopper.
Following the reports of finding of wreckage of US military helicopter, which went missing following second quake on Tuesday in Nepal, a team ha been mobilized in the area.
"Our team is in site for final confirmation about the status of missing chopper, but it is yet to be official," Home Ministry Spokesperson Laxmi Prasad Dhakal told Xinhua over phone,
According to army sources, the missing helicopter has been found in Ghorthali area nearby Kalinchowk VDC of Dolakha district in a height of 11,200 feet, which has been worst-hit by Tuesday's quake killing more than 100 people.
There were 8 personnel on board including two Nepalese soldiers and 6 U.S. marines in the helicopter. Their status has not been ascertained yet.
The missing chopper was searched from air through metal detector and reflector, both in river and some parts of the forest. The aircraft was on rescue mission in hardest hit areas of Dolakha district. Endi
