Tokyo shares end flat on domestic earnings, Greek woes

Tokyo shares ended flat on Tuesday as sentiment here was boosted by optimism over domestic earnings, but was also held by caution over Greece's bailout negotiations.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average inched up 3.93 points, or 0. 02 percent, from Monday to 19,624.84.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange was up 3.94 points, or 0.25 percent, to 1,602. 27.

Gainers were led by precision instruments and utilities, while decliners included rubber products and mining.

The turnover was about 2,751.2 billion yen (about 22.89 billion U.S. dollars). Endi
