China's top legislator calls for stronger cooperation between Chinese, German companies

Xinhua, May 7, 2015 Adjust font size:

Top legislator Zhang Dejiang met here Thursday with Volkmar Denner, chair of the Bosch board of management, calling for closer cooperation between Chinese and German corporations.

The two countries' economies are highly compatible, said Zhang, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, adding that trade was an important foundation for China-Germany relations.

China faces an arduous journey along the path of industrial transformation and upgrading, while Germany has advanced technology and research capabilities, Zhang said.

He welcomed German companies and other foreign-funded corporations to invest in China, vowing to offer a sound legal environment.

Zhang hoped Bosch would serve as a bridge to integrate Chinese and German high-end industries, and enhance exchanges and cooperation with its Chinese partners in setting standards, driving innovation and training.

Denner expressed gratitude for China's support for its business in the country, vowing to strengthen cooperation with Chinese companies. Endi
