Rockets knocks off Clippers in Game 2

Xinhua, May 7, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Houston Rockets surged past the Los Angeles Clippers 115-109 Wednesday night at Toyota Center and evened their second round playoff series at 1-1.

Despite an early lead in the first quarter, the Rockets quickly fell short of momentum in the second. They were trailing by as much as 13 points in the third quarter, but a late spurt carried them past the Clippers in the fourth.

The Clippers, again playing without Chris Paul, fought and kept the game close. Blake Griffin led all players with 34 points and 15 rebounds.

James Harden scored 32 points for Houston while Dwight Howard had 24 points and 16 boards. Game 3 is Friday night in Los Angeles. Endi
