The agreement came after talks here in Cairo between Egyptian Defense Minister Sedqi Sobhi and his Spanish counterpart Pedro Morenes to enhance cooperation in the military field.

"The MoU includes cooperation in the military fields, expertise exchange and joint training between the two sides," according to the report.

The agreement came a few days after Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah al-Sisi paid a visit to Madrid late last month, and met with Spanish King Felipe VI as well as other senior Spanish officials. The two sides also signed a security agreement.
