China compiles Marxist philosophy for CPC members

Xinhua, May 5, 2015 Adjust font size:

The Communist Party of China (CPC) has compiled a book on the works of Marx, Engels and Lenin to promote Marxist theory among its members and officials.

The book, compiled by the Central Compilation and Translation Bureau (CCTB), was published Tuesday by the Central Compilation and Translation Press, coinciding with the 197th anniversary of the birth of Marx on May 5.

"The book features abridged writings, representative of the original works, and making it easy for readers to study the theories," said CCTB head Jia Gaojian.

Jia stressed that the book cannot completely reflect the original works, which CPC members and officials also need to study to "grasp the overall interior logic of the Marxist philosophy."

The CPC has traditionally focused on the study and application of Marxist philosophy in analysis of domestic and global situations to consolidate socialism with Chinese characteristics. Endi
