4th Bangladesh-U.S. partnership talks begin

The 4th partnership talks between Bangladesh and the United States began Thursday in Bangladesh capital Dhaka, focusing on challenges facing the two countries and the region at large.

Sources said the meeting focused on the expansion of security, trade, investment and development ties between the two countries.

They said issues related to labor, regional connectivity, climate change, counter-terrorism and food security were also discussed at the meeting.

Bangladesh Foreign Secretary Md.Shahidul Haque and U.S. Under Secretary for political affairs Wendy Sherman will jointly brief the media on the Bangladesh-U.S. Partnership Dialogue Friday. Endi
