Australians among first to receive Apple Watch in global rollout

Xinhua, April 24, 2015 Adjust font size:

The first wave of Apple Watch orders are reaching Australian customers on Friday, marking the official global rollout of the tech company's first new product since 2011.

Because of the time difference, Australians are among the first in the world to receive the much-talked about product.

Australian Apple Watch buyers who pre-ordered the device on April 10 started to receive their units at their home and work addresses on Friday, and are now posting pictures of the product on social media.

The watch includes features from smart phone and tablet products with prices starting from 390 U.S. dollars and 11,000 U.S. dollars for the premium edition.

Customers in other countries should start seeing packages show up on their doorstep in the next few hours as Apple Watch's nine- market rollout continues. Endi
