Tokyo shares open lower on profit-taking

Tokyo shares opened lower on Friday as investors locked in gains after recent rallies.

At 9:15 a.m., the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average was down 68.08 points, or 0.34 percent, from Thursday to 20,119.57.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange lost 2.57 points, or 0.16 percent, to 1,622. 30. Endi
